Vinay BY I have to respectfully disagree and that is the crux of my problem. I am fully aware of the port documentation that SolarWinds has and that is how I came up with my initial list of ports that I created.
The problem is that one of the methods SolarWinds provides to monitor things from within a DMZ is to use an additional poller. If you go that route then you need to allow the communication from the additional poller back to the rest of the Orion environment (platform server & database). Those communication requirements are not specifically articulated in that document... or anywhere that I can tell.
I have also now talked to two different SolarWinds support folks and neither of them seemed confident that they knew what that communication is supposed to be. Since using an additional poller within a DMZ is a documented and suggested architecture one would think that the necessary communication bits to make that work would be documented; however, that does not seem to be the case.
