I was wondering in anyone could throw some suggestions my way on what could be blocking SNMP on my network or maybe something I'm missing that will likely be a simple over sight.
We have a very secure network which has nearly everything locked down minus what we require which we have to request access to our security team.
I requested what I think is required access to our security team to unblock SNMP and allow traffic on port 161. Servers are configure with a custom community string but this wont work.
Servers in question all look fine don't have firewalls turned on etc and can be added via ICMP without issue.
Does SolarWinds require anything else to be configured? My security team are saying its not there issue and the odd thing is we do have our servers on different sites running fine on SNMP hence why I think its a rule somewhere in our network blocking SNMP to these sites.
Any help/suggestions would be lovely.
